Weapon Violations In Waynesville: Clifford Nathaniel Warren

Waynesville police charged Clifford Nathaniel Warren, 36, of Waynesville with a series of weapons charges following a shooting at a home in the Chestnut Park area of Waynesville on Aug. 25.

Shots were fired Monday at 500 Chestnut Park, according to police reports. When the call went out, dispatchers told police Warren was firing shots at Tyler Kyle Smith and Miranda Cable- Warren’s sister, although no motive was sited in the police report. A witness told police that Warren drove up in a white Durango, exited the car and chased Smith around a house firing shots at him from a small-caliber pistol. Warren then got back in the Durango and left the scene, according to what witnesses told police.

Warren was charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon, going armed to the terror of the public, discharging a firearm in city limits and assault with a deadly weapon. He was jailed under $20,000 bond.
